Dynamic Seeta Indrani is one girl who knows how to cash in on the action. The super-sexy British star of Prime TV's top cop show The Bill has come all the way to New Zealand looking for adventure.
In fact, Seeta is so taken with the Kiwi Lifestyle she's toying with the idea of saying goodbye to her glamorous life in London and heading Down Under. "I feel flighty, impulsive and I feel like getting around," says Seeta, checking out the Auckland scene at a trendy inner-city cafe. "It's not often you feel like that. I'm at a stage where I feel really ready to explore and try new things out."
When it comes to exploring Seeta, who plays police constable Norika Datta on The Bill, is quick to add that she has fallen in love with New Zealand. "From what I've seen I'd definitely leave London and come and live here. It would be great to do some theatre and TV work in New Zealand and of course act in a Kiwi film," says Seeta who recently left The Bill after an incredible nine years on the show. Despite casting off her police uniform Seeta will still be seen on Kiwi screens for quite some time yet.
While the gorgeous actress hasn't come to New Zealand looking for love she's keen to meet some real Kiwi men. "When it comes to love I'm always on the lookout," beams Seeta. "I have an off-and-on partner in London, but it would be easy for me to come to New Zealand because at the end of the day I'm a free agent. Not having a settled relationship and a family means I'm free and easy to travel the world and explore new things. And I hear Kiwi men are a bit rough around the edges which is what I like," she jokes.
Although Seeta admits being in love is "wonderful", her love life definitely comes a distant second to her acting career. "Being in love and being in a relationship is secondary for me - work is my true love, my number one. I really enjoy my work, I love exploring different things and I get great joy from that." While her decision to call it quits on The Bill was a big one, the talented actress is taking it in her stride. "I left The Bill because my life was racing away. I felt like I needed to give myself time to live. And to be honest I was absolutely exhausted. I remember thinking, 'Come on, Seeta, you can't sit here forever.'"
While she is here Seeta is determined to see as much of New Zealand as she can. This week she's off to Rotorua to bath in the thermal pools and she can't wait to explore the beautiful beaches on Auckland's Waiheke Island. "New Zealand is a beautiful country with lots of space and plenty of sun. London is totally overcrowded. We've got millions of people and it's really exhausting. That's why it's easy for me to daydream about moving Down Under."
